Stage 20
It was an historic sixth Tour de France victory for Lance Armstrong, perhaps the greatest champion that athletics has ever seen. Most certainly greatest come back of all time must be attributed to Lance Armstrong, after being with, and nearly succumbing to cancer, our most dreaded disease.
Lance Armstrong found the will power, concentration, and ultimately the fortitude and ambition to win a record six Tours.
Until the stars align again in the same way they did to bring us the same circumstances, we may never see the same athletic performance again.
As far as Tour de France history goes, the French will have to know that all records were meant to be broken, including Lance Armstrong's. But in the meantime, it's champagne and all of the treasures the city of light Paris, France -- all accolades, and all praise and glory to Lance Armstrong.
A tough kid from the streets of Plano, TX. A single mom. The list of what he's overcome goes on, and on, and on, and on.
Now he can sit back and rest his feet and know that he's done something that no man has done before, and perhaps never will again -- win six Tours de France.
